The Role
Manage and assist with marine-related personal injury and liability claims.
Advise clients on liability, quantum, causation, and recovery.
Handle complex and high-value injury claims.
Assist with marine casualty and incident investigations.
Advise on employers' and public liability issues in the maritime sector.
Draft pleadings, correspondence, witness statements, and legal advice.
Liaise with insurers, P&I Clubs, shipowners, charterers, and other stakeholders.
Work with medical, technical, and expert witnesses.
Support inquests and regulatory investigations.
Assist senior lawyers on complex international disputes.
Develop understanding of marine, shipping, trading, and commodities matters.
Build strong relationships with clients and industry contacts.
About You
Qualified Personal Injury Solicitor with 1–5 years' PQE.
Strong experience in personal injury litigation.
Experience managing your own caseload from inception to resolution.
Good experience in liability and quantum disputes.
Strong drafting and analytical skills.
Excellent attention to detail and client communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a specialist team.
Commercial and proactive approach.
Genuine interest in marine and shipping law.
